DeepCool MORPHEUS PC Case Review

Conclusion & Video – There is no other case like this

Conclusion – The DeepCool Morpheus is an incredible case

DeepCool has created something incredible with their new Morpheus chassis. In a way, this is three cases in one. Users can freely change the look of their systems with just a little tinker time, and if you are into modding, this case is a blank canvas that you can do almost anything with.

With a asking price of €179/€189 for the case’s black/white models respectively, this case is a bargain. No other case offers users this many option at this price, and fewer offer users both a vertical GPU mount and a PCIe 4.0 riser cable. Yes, most users of this case will be adding additional fans into their systems, but the same is true for most modern PC cases, especially cases of this size.

Our only real criticisms of the Morpheus are minor ones. Its clip-on panels can be very hard to take off. We feel like the side mesh of this case should match its front ant top square meshes. We also feel that DeepCool should release this case’s “Trinity” fan as a standalone product. If I were budling a PC inside this case, I’d want to add three more of these trinity fans into the case. Right now, this is not an option.

A Modder’s Dream

Most of the DeepCool Morpheus’ panels can be removed using screws, and all of the others can be easily disassembled and reassembled with a drill and a rivet gun. if you want to mod a PC case, the Moprheus is a perfect blank canvas for you. Yes, this case’s three stock configurations are great, but we can see modders doing a lot more with a little effort. What about an inverted Morpheus? Perhaps a new layout using custom panels? The options are endless.

With this case being so modular, painting certain areas of this case becomes an easy modding opportunity. You could even strip and power coat some parts of this case if your wanted. perhaps you want a red motherboard tray, coloured PCIe brackets, a coloured GPU support, or a custom PSU shroud. Again, the options are endless.

DeepCool’s new Morpheus chassis deserves nothing less than our Enthusiast Award. We can’t wait to see what PC enthusiasts do with this case, and how modders will tweak this chassis to create something amazing. Out of the box, the Morpheus delivers a lot of options, and for €189 we cannot complain about the white model that we have tested. We have seen much worse cases sell for much much more. This case is a bargain at its asking price. You just need to remember that this case is HUGE, and that it has a lot of custom additions like its digital screen and PCIe riser card.
