DeepCool MORPHEUS PC Case Review

Up Close with the MORPHEUS

A Closer Look at the DeepCool Morpheus

DeepCool’s Morpheus chassis is a large PC case. It supports EATX motherboards, and can fit up to four 420mm liquid cooling radiators if configured correctly. This is a PC case for large components, making it ideal for ultra-high-end systems, or PCs with a lot of liquid cooling components.

The front and top of the Morpheus uses square mesh that’s compatible with DeepCool’s included “bits”, which allows users to use these panels to create pixel art if they desire. While not all users will want to utilise this feature, it is a neat add-on.  These panels can be removed to reveal the Morpheus’ incredible fan mounting solution. This solution includes two bars that can be moved to support a variety of fan configurations.

The top and front of the Morpheus can be used to fit up to three 140mm fans. This is great news for anyone who wants their system to be airflow-rich. Liquid cooling lovers will also be glad to know that they can use these locations to mount 420mm radiators inside their systems.

Insane levels of fan support

The front of the Morpheus can be used to support 120mm, 140mm, 180mm, or 200mm fans. That’s how versatile this case’s fan mounting bracket is. It can also be used to fit this case’s front PSU mounting plate, incase users want to place their power supply in this area of the case.

The PSU shroud on the Morpheus can be removed very easily, allowing users to change the mounting locations of several plates to give their PC an entirely new look. This shroud can also be used as the mounting location for 120mm or 140mm fans, should users desire airflow in this area of the case.

GPU Support

The DeepCool Morpheus supports graphics cards that are up to 480mm in length. That means that this case can support pretty much any graphics card in existence. The case also includes a GPU support that can be used to prevent sag. This is great news for anyone who uses a heavy graphics card or moves their PC frequently.

Our RX 7800 XT Hellhound looks tiny inside this chassis. It also looks great with the case’s included vertical GPU mount. Below it, you can also see this case’s included PCIe 4.0 riser cable. Yes, this case includes one of those. Not bad for a sub-£200 case.

The DeepCool Morpheus has panels that are almost too solid

One thing that we will note about the Morpheus is that the pins that hold this case’s side panels on are solid. It is actually difficult to remove this case’s side panels. You need to force them off, and there were times that we thought that we could break something. While I could argue that DeepCool’s tolerances were too fine here, users of the Morpheus can at least rest assured that their side panels will not fall off when you don’t want them too. Making these connections too weak would have been a much bigger problem.

At the rear of the Morpheus’ motherboard tray we have plenty of space for cable management. Below we can also see two toolless 2.5-inch drive mounting points. There is also a fan mount that can direct airflow at the rear of your CPU socket. That’s a nice add-on for overclockers.

All White Cables

All cables within the white version of the Morpheus are white. The cables are white and their connectors are white. Most cases skip this detail and expect users to hide their cables effectively. Not DeepCool. DeepCool have done things properly with the Morpheus.

Honestly, I wish that other case manufacturers did their white cases as well as DeepCool. Even the ends of the USB 3.0 cables are white. That’s Awesome!
