Corsair launches their new MP600 ELITE M.2 SSD for PC and PlayStation 5

Corsair expands their SSD lineup with their new MP600 ELITE drives

Corsair has today released their MP600 ELITE series of PCIe 4.0 SSDs, offering buyers high-performance storage with 3D TLC NAND and low profile heatsink options.

This new SSD is available in 1TB and 2TB forms, and is available both with and without a heatsink. The heatsinked versions of these SSDs are available with either black or white heatsinks. That’s great news for gamers who like to colour theme their builds. A 4TB version of this SSD will be available later this year.

With sequential read performance of up to 7,000 MB/sec and write performance of up to 6,500 MB/sec, this SSD is more than fast enough for any gaming workload. With random read and write speeds of up to 1,000K and 1,200K IOPS respectively, this drive also delivers performance levels that are far in excess of what is requires for Sony’s PlayStation 5 console. The heatsinked version of this drive is also designed to fit inside the PlayStation 5’s SSD expansion slot.

Like all modern Corsair SSDs, the new Mp600 ELITE is supported by the company’s SSD Toolbox software. This software allows users to easily erase their drives, install firmware updates, and more. Corsair are backing up this SSD with a 5-year warranty. That’s longer than many competing SSDs of this speed level.

Corsair’s MP600 ELITE SSDs are now available to purchase from Corsair’s website.
