Tempest GP2711 In Use
With 576 local dimming zones the used by the mini LED panel, the Tempest GP2711 has excellent contrast and minimal bleed. Even with an image as stark as this you only get the tiniest light bleed. Certainly you’d have to step up to a full OLED panel to get better.
With the usual caveat that the image quality is limited by our camera, your display and the compression of images, the Cyberpunk benchmark still shows the Tempest GP2711 off in all its glory. The local area dimming and HDR1000 support are ably demonstrated here. You can still see details in both the shadows and highlights.
Look at that pin sharp contrast and squint-inducing bright spots. Lovely.
The trip out the back of the El Coyote Cojo bar gives you an idea of how richly detailed the deep shadows are. It’s a spectacular display considering its relatively affordable price tag.
Speaking of that bar, we love how rich the colours are. A neon-soaked bar would be nothing without a saturated palette.
It’s a sight to behold. Imagine what it looks like in real life, where everything is more beautiful.
Lastly the crispness of the display demonstrates how flexible the Tempest GP2711 is. Despite being a VA panel this isn’t a “gaming only” solution.
