MSI launches its huge 3840×1600 ultra-wide Optix MEG381CQR Plus Gaming monitor

MSI delivers what could be the best ultrawide gaming monitor on the market

MSI has just revealed their ultrawide Optix MEG381CQR Plus gaming monitor, what the company calls an HMI (Human Machine Interface) gaming display. 

For starters, the screen offers incredibly high specifications, offering users a 3840 x 1600 UWQHD resolution, variable refresh rate support up to 175 Hz, G-Sync Ultimate support, and verified DisplayHDR 600 support. This huge 38-inch curved monitor is designed to be a gaming beast, boasting high-end specs and features that should make the screen a joy to use. 

Built into MSI’s Optix MEG381CQR Plus gaming monitor are a mouse bungie and a dedicated camera cradle system. These features are designed to make the Optix MEG381CQR Plus easier to use with high-end cameras without elaborate tripod setups and use wired mice without as much cable clutter or cable snagging. Add this onto MSI’s HMI design, and users should have a great user experience with MSI’s Optix MEG381CQR Plus. 

With their HMI technology, MSI’s offering their users a convenient dial that can be used to adjust many of the Optix MEG381CQR Plus’ settings. This dial is designed to make the confusing button interfaces of traditional monitor designs a thing of the past, making MSI’s Optix MEG381CQR Plus a lot easier to adjust and configure. 

The main draws of MSI’s Optix MEG381CQR Plus are the monitor’s size, its refresh rate and its higher than standard ultrawide resolution. This screen offers a resolution that is incredibly close to 4K while maintaining a wide 21:9 aspect ratio, making this screen a great display for any gamer who enjoys more peripheral vision. This screen should be a great pairing for racing games and FPS titles, and any game where an ultra-high 175Hz refresh rate would be useful.

Included is a camera cradle that can slide across the top of the monitor, allowing the addition of higher end cameras with tripod mounts to be attached increasing overall stream quality. Also included is a mouse bungee that attaches to the bottom of the monitor to help reduce friction from the mouse cable and reducing clutter from your desk.
