Is your PC ready for Crysis 2 & 3 Remastered? – PC system requirements revealed

Update – With the launch of Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered are now available on PC. Sadly, Crytek has updated the PC system requirements for both games, making the original system requirements for each game inaccurate.

We have listed the game’s final system requirements below to make this article accurate. That said, it is crazy to think that Crytek would purposely list both games with incorrect system requirements one day before launch…

Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered will be released on October 15th on PC and all of the latest consoles, optimising both titles to take advantage of modern hardware.

At launch, Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 Remastered will be available exclusively on the Epic Games Store for PC, arriving with improved visuals, new CPU/GPU optimisations, and support for features that the console version will lack. Hardware/Software Ray Tracing will be exclusive to Crysis 2/3 Remastered’s PC version, with the PC versions also supporting DLSS on Nvidia graphics cards.

Now, Crysis 2/3 Remastered’s PC system requirements have been released, listing the game as a DirectX 11 title and with moderate system requirements by today’s standards. These system requirements make sense given the presence of these remasters on consoles like PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Switch, all of which can be handily outperformed by modern gaming PCs. Both Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered feature identical system requirements on PC.

CPU-wise, Crysis 2/3 Remastered will require quad-core processors like Intel’s i5-3450 or anything from AMD’s Ryzen 3 series or higher as minimum requirements, with CPUs like Intel’s i5-7600K and anything AMD’s Ryzen 5 series or above being recommended.

If you can run Crysis Remastered, you can run Crysis 2/3 Remastered

Crysis 2/3 Remastered features the same minimum and recommended system requirements as Crysis Remastered, which means that any PC that can run Crysis Remastered should be able to run its sequels with no issues.

While each game in the series will have a unique performance profile, it is clear from these identical system requirements that Crytek believes that all three games run similarly enough on modern PC hardware to give them identical system requirements.

Crysis 2 & Crysis 3 Remastered will be released on October 15th as separate games and as part of the Crysis Remastered Trilogy.
