Optimal memory performance is delivered when low latencies are paired with lots of bandwidth; that’s why memory kits with tight CL timings are highly desirable for PC enthusiasts. 

G.SKILL has just revealed their fastest DDR5 memory kit, offering users DDR5-6600 speeds and CL36-36-36-76 timings. These kits will be available with two 16GB modules using Samsung DDR5 memory ICs. 

When compared to G.SKILL’s already revealed Trident Z5 DDR5 memory kits, this extreme speed kit offers PC builders a 200 MT/s boost over their previously announced DDR5-6400 kits while maintaining the same tight CL36-36-36-76 timings as their fastest 6400MT/s kits. Faster speeds at the same CL timings results in lower latencies, which is great news for gamers.

CL40 timings will likely be common for many early DDR5 memory kits, making G.SKILL’s CL36 timings appealing to gamers, hardware enthusiasts and overclockers.  

G.SKILL has claimed that their DDR5-6600 CL36-36-36-76 DDR5 modules are the “world’s fastest”, which means that these memory modules are the best that we should expect from early DDR5 memory modules. That said, these speeds and latencies will likely be surpassed as the DDR5 memory landscape evolves.
