God of War will look best on PC in 2022

Sony has just listed God of War on Steam, revealing that the game will be coming to PC on January 14th 2022, with enhanced visuals, support for higher framerates, and exclusive PC-only features. 

On Steam, God of War has been listed for £39.99, with the game being listed as a DirectX 11 game that will require around 80GB of available storage space. 

God of War is one of many Sony titles that will be coming to PC, following on from the success of Days Gone and Horizon: Zero Dawn on the platform. The Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is also set to launch on PC in early 2022. 

Upgraded visuals

On PC, God of War is said to feature “a wide range of graphical presets and options”, including support for higher resolution shadows, improved screen-space reflections, and additional features like GTAO and SDAO. In short, God of War will look best on PC, making the game’s PC version the best-looking version. 
  


  
PC-only features

On PC, God of War will support unlocked framerates, allowing gamers to experience God of War at framerates above the 30 FPS and 60 FPS targets of the game’s console versions. Beyond that, God of War will support Nvidia’s DLSS technology on PC, which will boost the game’s performance on RTX series graphics hardware. 

Nvidia’s Reflex technology will also be supported in God Of War. Nvidia Reflex is a latency reduction technology, which can be used to make games feel more responsive when using supported Geforce graphics cards.  God of War will also support 21:9 ultra-widescreen resolutions, giving God of War a cinema-like widescreen appearance. 

God of War will support a variety of Gamepads on PC, including Sony’s Dualsense and Dualshock 4 wireless controllers. Mouse and keyboard controls will also be supported.
