Radeon Optimises their GPU Drivers for Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer

AMD has just released a new set of Radeon GPU drivers that are optimised for Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer mode, which is now available to play on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Strangely, these new drivers from AMD are not a numbered Radeon Software release. This is not Radeon Software 21.11.3, this is a dedicated Halo Infinite GPU driver. This suggests that this new driver does not feature all of the improvements in AMD’s Radeon Software 21.11.2 driver, which is optimised for Battlefield 2042.

Perhaps AMD will release a Radeon Software 21.11.3 driver in the near future to remove this confusion from the minds of PC gamers, as it is currently unclear whether or not this new Halo driver is optimised for Battlefield 2042.

Known Issues

– During Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxyâ„¢ gameplay, some users may experience driver timeouts on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeonâ„¢ RX 5500 XT Graphics. A temporary workaround is to disable the Radeonâ„¢ Anti-Lag feature in Radeonâ„¢ Software.
– Some users may experience elevated disk space consumption by the Multimedia Athena Dumps folder.
– Visual artifacts may be observed while playing Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War on some AMD Graphics products such as Radeonâ„¢ RX 6800M Graphics.
– While playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegroundsâ„¢ with multiple displays connected in extended mode, Radeonâ„¢ Software may become unresponsive when the user is in the lobby and attempts to open Radeon Software on the secondary display via the context menu. A temporary workaround is to press the Alt R keyboard shortcut if this happens.
– Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
– Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.
