Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is finally getting a sequel

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has been revealed by Saber Interactive

Focus Entertainment has confirmed that they are working with Saber Interactive to create a sequel to Relic’s 2011 action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

The original Space Marine game was originally intended to be part of a Trilogy of Warhammer 40,000 third person shooters, ending the game on a cliffhanger. Now, gamers on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 can look forward to taking control of the Ultramarines’ Captain Titus as the Space Marine chapter battles against the Tyranids. 

Like the original game, Space Marine II will focus on the superhuman Space Marines, transhuman warriors that were created to battle against the galaxy’s toughest foes. Within the trailer below, we first see Cadian members of the Imperial Guard battle against the Tyranids, soliders who were losing the battle until the timely arrival of a force of Ultramarines. 

Sadly, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine II currently lacks a release date. The game has been confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, making the game a current-generation exclusive.
