Rebellion reveals Sniper Elite 5 for PC and consoles

Sniper Elite 5’s coming to PC and consoles next year

Rebellion has just revealed Sniper Elite 5, the first game in the series that will be launching on current-gen console like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. However, the game will also be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

When the game launches, Sniper Elite 5 will be a day-1 Game pass title, allowing gamers to access the game as part of Microsoft’s high value PC/Xbox gaming subscription.

Sniper Elite 5 takes place in 1944, shortly before the D-Day landing. Once again, players will take control of the elite marksman and SOE Operative, Lt. Karl Fairburne. Fairborne is tasked with weakening the Nazis’ Atlantikwall fortifications along the coast of Brittany, but things before more complicated when a secret Nazi project called Operation Kraken is uncovered.

With Sniper Elite 5, Rebellion has promised gamers unparalleled tactical sniping, authentic ballistics, new customization options, and a variety of other weapons and ammo types to allow players to adjust their playstyles.

Sniper Elite 5 has already been listed on Steam, where Rebellion claims that Sniper Elite 5 will feature an “invasion mode” to add campaign PVP and co-op to the game. Players will be able to invade other players campaigns as a Axis or Allied sniper to augment Sniper Elite 5’s campaign. 16-player competitive multiplayer will also return with Sniper Elite 5, as will the game’s 3-player co-op survival mode.
