CD Projekt Red has finally showcased The Witcher 3’s highly anticipated next-generation version, a free update for existing owners of the game that will enhance the original’s visuals, add additional content, and improve the original’s already strong gameplay.

On PC, The Witcher 3’s next-generation update will include new “Ultra+” settings on PC that will include ray traced global illumination, high resolution textures and models, and other visual improvements. On PC, The Witcher 3 will also support Nvidia’s DLSS technology and AMD’s FSR 2 technology.

The console versions of The Witcher 3’s next-generation version will include ray tracing, and a new 60 FPS mode. All versions of the game will now have a photo mode, new camera perspectives, support for cloud saves, and improved foliage.

On current-generation consoles, gamers will have the option to play The Witcher 3 in a 60 FPS performance mode or at 30 FPS in a Quality Mode. On Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, AMD’s FSR 2 technology will be used to enable the game’s 60 FPS performance mode while maintaining strong visuals.
