Tango Gameworks surprise launches Hi-Fi Rush at Xbox Developer_Direct

Xbox has revealed Hi-Fi Rush, and the game is available starting today

At the company’s first Developer_Direct event, Microsoft had a surprise up their sleeve, and that surprise was Hi-Fi Rush, an all-new action game that was launched during the showcase. Starting today, Hi-Fi Rush is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC, arriving on Game Pass and as a standalone game on both platforms.

Hi-Fi Rush comes from Tango Gameworks, the Japanese developer behind The Evil Within and Ghostwire; Tokyo. Hi-Fi Rush is a game that is very different to what the studio has previously produced, moving away from the studio’s typical survival horror focus and towards something more musical.

On PC, Hi-Fi Rush is now available on Steam and the Epic Games Store for £26.99, highlighting the game’s status as a smaller release from Xbox/Bethesda. Even so, the game’s style and musical focus has already garnered more interest from me than months of Forspoken advertisements have.

Feel the beat as wannabe rockstar Chai and his ragtag team of allies rebel against an evil tech megacorp with raucous rhythm combat! From Tango Gameworks, the studio that brought you The Evil Within and Ghostwire: Tokyo (no, really) comes Hi-Fi RUSH, an all-new action game where the characters, world and combat stylishly sync to the music!

Below are Hi-Fi Rush’s PC system requirements, which are on the low side for a modern release. This is great news for PC gamers, as this should allow most PC gamers to play this title with decent framerates and allow owners of higher-end systems to target ultra high resolutions.
