Hitman 3’s latest update adds DLSS 3 and Freelancer mode

Hitman 3’s latest update adds a new game mode and Nvidia’s performance boosting DLSS 3 tech

IO Interactive have released patch 3.140 for Hitman 3, adding a new Freelancer mode to the game that offers gamers a new single-player experience that features rogue-like elements.  

With this update, Hitman 3 has become Hitman: World of Assassination, giving gamers access to the contents of Hitman 1 and Hitman 2. Now, the content of the entire trilogy is available within Hitman 3, for all players. This means that PC gamers will be able to play Hitman 1 and Hitman 2’s content with the improved visuals and gameplay of Hitman 3, and that owners of the 3rd game how have access to the content of its predecessors for free.  

    HITMAN Freelancer is a brand new, single-player mode that introduces rogue-like elements, strategic planning and a customisable safehouse. And starting today you can become the global hunter and Prepare, identify, and eliminate the most dangerous syndicates in the World of Assassination.

Patch 3.140 for Hitman 3 has also added support for Nvidia’s DLSS 3 technology, bringing DLSS Frame Generation to the game. DLSS Frame Generation is an RTX 40 series feature that effectively acts as a framerate doubler, using the AI performance of the RTX 40 series to generate intermediate frames that are placed between rendered frames. This can be combined with DLSS Super Sampling (DLSS 2) to deliver greater than 2x performance benefits, as can be seen in the video above.

        Support for Nvidia DLSS 3 – DLSS Frame Generation and Nvidia Reflex Low Latency.

With the 3.140 release, players can now enjoy the added support for DLSS Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency.

DLSS Frame Generation uses AI to boost frame rates by generating additional high-quality frames, all while optimizing responsiveness with NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency. DLSS Frame Generation requires a GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card. 

NVIDIA Reflex helps DLSS Frame Generation achieve maximum performance in addition to reducing latency, giving players a more responsive feel in-game. NVIDIA Reflex can be enabled in the graphics menu on GeForce 900 series and upwards.
