Nvidia RTX 4090 Ti Specifications Leak - Big upgrade over RTX 4090

Nvidia’s RTX 4090 Ti is going to be insane!

Specifications have leaked for Nvidia’s RTX 4090 Ti graphics card, suggesting that Nvidia’s new RTX 40 series flagship will be a 600W monster that utilises a lot more of the potential of Nvidia’s AD102 GPU core design.

According to @kopite7kimi, Nvidia’s RTX 4090 Ti will utilise a similar GPU core layout as Nvidia’s workstation-oriented RTX 6000 Ada GPU, offering users 18,176 CUDA cores and 96MB of L2 cache. For context, Nvidia’s RTX 4090 has 16,384 CUDA cores, which means that Nvidia’s RTX 4090 Ti will have almost 11% more CUDA cores.

Additionally, Nvidia’s RTX 4090 Ti is expected to feature 24 Gbps GDDR6X memory, which is 14.2% faster than the 21 Gbps memory used with Nvidia’s RTX 4090. With the RTX 4090 Ti’s expected TDP of 600 watts, Nvidia’s RTX 4090 Ti is expected to feature higher GPU clock speeds than their RTX 4090 in addition to its faster memory speeds and increased CUDA core counts. As such, we expect Nvidia’s RTX 4090 Ti to have up to a 20% performance uplift over their already powerful RTX 4090.

With a TDP of 600 watts, Nvidia’s RTX 4090 Ti will push the limits of the company’s 12VHPWR connectors, which are rated for loads of up to 600 watts. This means that RTX 4090 Ti GPUs can be created with a single 12VHPWR connector, though some aftermarket models may opt to have more than one connector to increase overclocking headroom.

Whether or not Nvidia plans to release an RTX 4090 Ti or an RTX Titan Ada remains to be seen. With AMD’s RX 7900 XTX failing to surpass their RTX 4090, Nvidia has no need to release a higher-end RTX 40 series GPU to retain their position as the leader of the high performance gaming GPU market, which means that we won’t likely see an RTX 4090 Ti or RTX Titan Ada in the near-term future. That said, Nvidia could surprise us.
