Need an HDMI 2.1 cable that works? Elgato's now selling certified HDMI 2.1 cables

Elgato has started selling certified HDMI 2.1 cables

The HDMI cable market is a mess. It is not uncommon for HDMI cables to not work at the resolutions or framerates listed at retailers, making it challenging for buyers to acquire cables that support the latest standards like 4K 120Hz or 8K 60Hz. This is especially true for buyers who want cables that are longer than two meters.

To help customers to acquire HDMI cables that actually work as specified, Elgato has started to sell certified HDMI 2.1 cables that are rated at 48Gbit/s and support 8K 60Hz, 4K 120Hz, and Dynamic HDR. These cables are designed to work with the latest gaming systems, including Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and modern gaming PCs.

Sadly, Elgato’s HDMI 2.1 cables are only available with 2m cable lengths, at least right now, and at almost £20 per cable, they are on the expensive side. That said, these are certified cables from a trusted brand, not some no-name HDMI cable that may or may not work as specified.
