MSI is launching an ultra-wide OLED gaming monitor, and it looks awesome

MSI has confirmed that their MEG 342C QD-OLED gaming monitor will start shipping next month, offering users a 34-inch Quantum OLED gaming screen that offers users a maximum refresh rate of 175Hz. With its OLED panel, gamers can expect super-fast 0.1ms response times, bright highlights and super deep blacks.

With its Quantum Dot OLED monitor, MSI’s new MEG 342C QD-OLED monitor can offer users a peak brightness of around 1,000 nits and a DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. This makes MSI’s MEG 342C QD-OLED monitor an excellent screen for HDR gaming and HDR content playback or creation. The monitor also supports adaptive-sync VRR, allowing this screen to offer VRR support to users of both AMD and Nvidia GPU hardware.

At this time, MSI has not revealed the pricing of their new monitor, though this screen is considered to be a direct competitor to Dell’s Alienware AW3423DW. Both screens use the same Samsung made Quantum Dot OLED panel, and both displays are expected to feature similar pricing. MSI has confirmed that this screen will become available in March 2023, so we expect to receive pricing information for this monitor soon.

MSI has branded their MEG 342C QD-OLED as having “QD Premium Colour”, with the screen offering users wide colour gamut with 99.3% DCI-P3, 97.8% Adobe RGB and 139.1% sRGB coverage. This screen is also said to be factory calibrated and feature a delta E value of
