Fallout London receives is coming this year – Here’s the game’s Q1 2023 update

Fallout London’s latest video updates gamers on the mod’s progress

The Fallout London team has released their Q1 2023 development update video, highlighting the progress that the team has made with the mod, while reconfirming that the mod is releasing later this year. 

Fallout London is a total conversion mod for Fallout 4 that places players into England, showcasing the Fallout universe outside of the USA. Like America, nuclear war has decimated Europe, and out of the ashes of England have risen factions that include Knights, revolutionaries, and remnants of the Royal family and pre-war government. 

In the video below, the Fallout London team have showcased many of their game’s new environments, weapons, and artwork. Fallout London is not a simple rework of Fallout 4, it is a game that has been re-worked to make Fallout London distinctly British, taking inspiration from historical companies, weaponry, and organisations. While the game has its Fallout twist, don’t expect Fallout London to be Fallout 4 with British accents. The Fallout London team have done an amazing job bringing Fallout London to life.  

Currently, it looks like Bethesda Softworks plans to finish Starfield, then work on The Elder Scrolls VI, and then work on their next Fallout game. That means that we should not expect a new Fallout game anytime soon, and even then Bethesda’s next Fallout game is unlikely to move to Britain. Fallout London is likely to be the closest that Fallout series ever gets to old blighty.  

Fallout: London may not be an official game from Bethesda Softworks, but it has the trappings of what could be an interesting Fallout game, even if franchise staples like Vault-Tec being missing. There will be no Super Mutants, Deathclaws or other species that were developed through forced mutation in Fallout’s version of the US. This is Fallout London, and it’s nothing like the USA.

Fallout London is now due to release sometime in 2023, which means that the game should release sometime within the next 9 months.
