The Witcher 3’s latest PC update improves the game’s DLSS 3 implementation

Earlier today, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt’s has received a new PC update that increases the stability of the game’s DLSS 3 implementation, giving gamers using Nvidia’s RTX 40 series graphics cards an enhanced gaming experience.

For PC gamers who are not using Nvidia’s RTX 40 series hardware, today’s update for The Witcher 3 brings no changes to the game, which is why CD Project Red has not changed The Witcher 3’s version number or released detailed patch notes for the game.

Nvidia’s DLSS 3 technology was added to The Witcher 3 with the game’s current-generation update in late 2022, an update that also added ray tracing to the game and a large number of other graphical changes. Given how CPU-limited The Witcher 3’s PC version now is at maxed out settings, Nvidia’s RTX 40 series users are currently the only gamers that are able to play The Witcher 3 with framerates that are consistently above 60 FPS, thanks to Nvidia’s DLSS Frame Generation technology.
