Can you run it? Here’s what you need to run Dead island 2 on PC

Dead Island 2 is launching on April 21st, arriving on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. On PC, Dead Island 2 will be launching though the Epic Games Store, and Dambuster Studios have released detailed system requirements for their upcoming action-zombie game to let PC gamers know if their systems are ready for the slaughter.

On current-generation consoles, Dead Island 2 will run at 60 FPS, and on last-generation consoles, the game will run at 30 FPS. On PC, Dead Island 2’s framerates will be defined by your PC’s hardware, and we can confirm that Dead Island 2 is a DirectX 12 title and will support AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 (FSR 2) technology at launch. Additionally, the game will have AMD’s FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening enabled by default.

Below are Dead Island 2’s official PC system requirements, which list AMD’s RX 480 graphics card and Nvidia’s GTX 1060 as the game’s minimum supported GPUs. These GPUs should be able to run Dead Island 2 at 1080p 30 FPS, with the game requiring higher-end hardware for 60 FPS gameplay.

On PC, Dead Island 2 will be 70GB in size, a size that is somewhat refreshing given how common 100+ GB PC games have gotten. At this time, it is unknown if Dead Island 2 will support Nvidia’s DLSS technology or Intel’s XeSS technology.
