Performance issues a plaguing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s PC launch

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available on PC and consoles, and to say the least the launch is going poorly for EA and respawn. On Steam, Jedi: Survivor currently has a “Mostly Negative” review rating, with most games complaining about the game’s poor performance.

For the most part, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor appears to be hugely CPU-limited on PC, with many PC gamers citing poor performance on top of the line processors like Intel’s i9-13900K. Many gamers are citing frequent performance dips to around 30 FPS, on system that are far above Star Wars Jedi; Survivor’s recommended system requirements.

So far, gamers on both PC and consoles have confirmed that Star War Jedi; Survivor currently has performance issues, and EA has already confirmed that gamers can expect updates “in the weeks ahead” that will improve the game’s performance. This confirmation came before the official release of Star Wars Jedi; Survivor, confirming that the publisher knew that the game would release in a poor state, and that they were seemingly unwilling to delay the game to launch with these updates in place.

We have a copy of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and hope to release a performance review of the title in the near future. Based on what we currently know, we expect to revisit Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as patches are released to access their performance impact. Let’s hope that EA and Respawn can fix things quickly, as gamers deserve better than for a £60 game to launch in such a poor state.
