Russian retailer confirms Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti memory specifications

Nvidia has already released their GeForce RTX 4090, RTX 4080, RTX 4070 Ti, and RTX 4070 graphics cards, and next up is their RTX 4060 Ti. Prior rumours have suggested that Nvidia are targeting a $450 price tag for this graphics card, and that this GPU will feature 8GB of GDDR6 memory. Now, this rumour appears to be confirmed.

Thanks to retail listings from a Russian retailer, details for four Palit RTX 4060 Ti graphics cards have leaked onto the web. These details include details about palit’s RTX 4060 Ti Dual, Dual OC, StormX, and StormX OC models. All four of these graphics cards have been listed with a 128-bit memory bus and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. Additionally, all three GPUs appear to feature a single HDMI output and three DisplayPort connections.

At this time, the full specifications of Nvidia’s RTX 4060 Ti graphics card are unknown, though we can expect the graphics card to support RTX 40 series features like AV1 encoding and DLSS 3, and expect higher performance levels than what Nvidia’s RTX 3060 Ti provides.

While there appears to be demand for an RTX 4060 Ti graphics card with more than 8GB of VRAM, there appears to be no sign that such a graphics card exists. As such, you can expect a lot of complaints from reviewers when Nvidia’s RTX 4060 TI launches that discuss this GPU’s small 8GB frame buffer. The memory requirements of games are growing, and new 8GB graphics cards will likely struggle with many future releases.
