AMD's RDNA 3 Radeon RX 7600 appears on store shelves

Sapphire’s RX 7600 Pulse graphics card has appeared on the shelves of an Asian retailer

Thanks to an anonymous tip to Videocardz, we have gotten our first look at AMD’s RX 7600, Sapphire’s Radeon RX 7600 Pulse to be exact. These graphics cards have reportedly appeared at an Asian retailer, ready for the graphics card’s upcoming launch.

While the graphics card itself is hidden away inside its box, the box itself reveals a lot of interesting information about AMD’s upcoming RX 7600, which is reportedly targeting a $250 price tag, at least according to Videocardz’s anonymous tipper. The graphics card clearly offers users 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, and a closer look at the side of the box confirms that the RX 7600 will feature 32 RDNA 3 Compute Units (CUs), giving it 2048 stream processors. The GPU also has 32MB of Infinity Cache.

When compared to AMD’s RDNA 2 based Radeon RX 6600, the RX 7600 features four additional compute units. This gives the RX 7600 more than 14% more stream processors than its predecessors. Beyond that, the RX 7600 features the benefits of AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture, which includes new dual-issue SIMD units, and a range of other enhancements. As such, the RX 7600 should be able to deliver more performance per compute unit than its predecessor. The graphics card is also expected to target higher GPU core clock speeds and feature faster GDDR6 memory.

With all of these changes in mind, AMD’s RX 7600 is likely to offer gamers a substantial performance improvement over its predecessor. That said, it remains to be seen how AMD will price this new graphics card, or how it will compare with Nvidia’s future RTX 40 series offerings at this pricepoint.
