Total War Warhammer III now has a 12-month content roadmap, and it has a lot of freebies
Expect a lot of changes for Total War Warhammer III over the next year
Creative Assembly has released a 12-month DLC roadmap for Total War Warhammer III, revealing some of their plans for the game’s 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 updates and beyond. With patch 2.0 delivering Immortal Empires and patch 3.0 bringing with it the Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC, it is likely that we can expect to see major DLC releases with updates 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0.Â
With this roadmap, it has also been confirmed that DLC is planned for Total War Warhammer III in 2024 and beyond, which means that PC gamers can expect the game to be supported well into the future, both with free and paid for content updates.
Patch 3.1 is due to arrive soon for Total War Warhammer III, bringing a new Chaos Dwarfs End Game Scenario to the title. The update will also add seven regiments of renown to Total War Warhammer III’s base game races, and add a new Legendary Hero to the game. On top of this, patch 3.1 should also deliver multiple fixes, optimisations, and other tweaks to the game.Â
This Summer, Patch 4.0 is set to add another Legendary Hero, achievements to Immortal Empires, AI improvements, race updates, settlement battle improvements and more. This update is called Shadows of Change, and the update appears to focus on the Teentch, Cathay, and Kislev factions.Â
In Winter 2023, Patch 5.0 “Thrones of Decay” will be coming to Total War Warhammer III, focusing on the factions of Nurgle, the Empire, and the Dwarfs. The patch will feature another Legendary Hero, new Race and Legacy Race updates, and add “The Nemesis Crown” to the game. Currently, it is unknown how “The Nemesis Crown” will work in the game as a mechanic. Perhaps it will work like the Sword of Khaine.
Patch 6.0 will add another Legendary Hero to Total War Warhammer III and will focus on three unknown races. The update will contain race and legacy race updates, and it is probable that Slaanesh will be the Total War Warhammer III race that will be updated.Â
