The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition Patch 1.3 promises major improvements on PC

The Outer Worlds should now run a lot smoother on PC with update 1.3

Private Division has released update 1.3 for The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition, adding changes to the game that should dramatically improve the game’s smoothness and overall playability on all platforms.

Alongside a series of general bug fixes, The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition has now been updated to reduce hitching on all platforms by implementing new shader cache improvements while reducing instances of traversal hitching on all platforms. These changes should allow The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition’s framerate to be a lot smoother on all platforms, with less hitching and stuttering.

The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition’s 1.3 update has also made changes to the game’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 (FSR 2) implementation to reduce ghosting within the game, dramatically increasing the quality of the game’s resolution upscaling technology.

The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition Patch 1.3 promises major improvements on PC

With the release of update 1.3, The Outer Worlds: Spacer’s Choice Edition should now run a lot better on PC and consoles. Sadly, these patches have arrived long after the game’s launch on PC and current generation consoles, a factor that will limit this update’s impact on the overall perception of Private Division’s current-generation update for The Outer Worlds.
