Ubisoft's The Crew Motorfest will not be available on Steam at launch

The Crew Motorfest is coming to PC through Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store

Ubisoft’s The Crew Motorfest is now available to pre-order, and on PC it looks like Ubisoft are once again snubbing Steam. Currently, like Assassin’s Creed Mirage, The Crew Motorfest is only available to pre-order on PC through Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store, with the game having no prescience on Steam.

The Crew Motorfest is launching this year on September 14th, with the game becoming available three days earlier for purchasers of the game’s Ultimate Edition.

With The Crew Motorfest, Ubisoft are building on the The Crew formula to create what they are calling their best open world driving game to date. The Crew Motorfest will be focused around a “Motorfest” event in Honolulu, which will allow players to drive around exotic locations that include volcanic slopes, mountain roads, sunny beaches and lush rainforests. In a sense, The Crew Motorfest is Ubisoft’s answer to Forza Horizon, and we are all for seeing some more competition within world of racing games.

None of Ubisoft’s trailers or press information about The Crew Motorfest or Assassin’s Creed Mirage mention Steam, which means that neither game will be launching on Valve’s PC platform. It is probable that both games will come to Steam eventually, but don’t expect this to happen anytime soon.
