Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 won’t support keyboard & mouse on PC - Claims Steam page

It looks like Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Collection Vol. 1 will not support mouse/keyboard on PC

Konami’s planned Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is due to release on October 24th on PC though Steam, and thanks to DSO Gaming, we now know that the game will not support keyboard and mouse controls on the platform.

On the game’s now deleted Steam page, it said the following;

     Notice: METAL GEAR SOLID – Master Collection Version requires a controller in order to play. Playing with a keyboard and mouse isn’t supported.

When Konami revealed the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1, it was revealed that game’s versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater would be based on the game’s HD Collection version, which was released on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. With their new remastered versions, Konami appears to be simplifying their PC efforts by only featuring gamepad based controls, rather than implimenting them alongside all-new keyboard and mouse controls.

On all platforms the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 will feature Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear’s NES version, and Snake’s Revenge alongside the first three Metal Gear Solid games.

It is currently unknown why Konami has taken down their Steam page for their Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1. We expect Konami to open pre-orders for the game on Steam soon, and reveal more information about the collection’s PC version.
