AMD is Starfield's exclusive PC Partner - Bethesda Confirms

AMD has been working with Bethesda to optimise Starfield on PC and consoles

AMD has confirmed that they are Bethesda’s exclusive PC partner for Starfield, Bethesda’s next-generation open-world space adventure game. Starfield is currently due to launch on PC and Xbox on September 6th, and Bethesda has already confirmed that the game will feature AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution technology on both platforms.

Behind the scenes, AMD has been working with Bethesda to optimise Starfield for AMD’s latest Ryzen 7000 series processors and Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards. This has seen AMD help Bethesda to optimise Starfield’s code to be heavily multi-threaded, changes that will help the game run better on both Xbox Series consoles and modern gaming PCs.

AMD is proud to announce that we are Bethesda’s exclusive PC partner for the next-generation role-playing game, Starfield. Watch this special announcement video to learn how AMD and Bethesda are working together to bring the galaxy to all players this September.

based on this announcement, it is likely that Starfield will launch on PC with FidelityFX Super Resolution support and lack support for alternative upscalers like Intel’s XeSS or Nvidia’s DLSS.
