Ubisoft's Connect PC client is receiving a major overhaul this summer

Ubisoft’s new Connect app is launching this summer, and promises to be a major improvement over their current app

Ubisoft has confirmed that they plan to launch a new version of their Connect app, Ubisoft’s multi-platform gaming client. From a more user friendly design to screen-friendly assets, Ubisoft’s new version of their Connect client promises to be a lot better than their current desktop app.

This summer, Ubisoft plans to roll out their new Ubisoft Connect app to PC gamers in the form of a new beta, allowing PC gamers to experience Ubisoft’s new and improved PC client. While we do not expect the new app to be as functional or feature-rich as Steam, PC gamers can expect Ubisoft Connect to deliver a better experience than before.

Try the all-new Ubisoft Connect PC Beta – Rolling out this summer! Download the desktop app on ubisoft.com.

Starting today, the beta version will roll out gradually and reach all players over the coming months. When your turn comes, you will notice a toggle appearing in the navigation bar of your desktop app. Just click it and you’ll switch to the new beta version!

Moving forward, it looks like Ubisoft plans to tighten their focus on their Ubisoft Connect PC client, with the company’s heavy-hitting PC titles like Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars: Outlaws being exclusive to Ubisoft Connect on PC at launch. Let’s hope that Ubisoft Connect is indeed changing for the better, as the one thing that PC gamers don’t need it’s another difficult to use game installer.
