Cannot log into Steam? You are not alone
Steam users face login issues – “Cannot Connect to Steam Network”
This morning, when I first logged into my PC, I noticed that I was unable to log onto Steam. While the website was accessible, I was unable to log into either the Steam client, or onto the Steam website. Upon restarting my Steam Deck, I also found that I was unable to log onto that device either.
Without login functionality, Steam is effectively down for many PC gamers, and so far we have seen reports from gamers in the UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands that are effected by this login issue. On Down Detector, there were around 1700 reports of issues in the UK as of of 8:30 am this morning, with most citing login issues. So far, Valve has not commented on the outage.
At this time, it is unknown what the cause of this outage is, or when the outage will be fixed. As of now, many PC gamers cannot access their games. This outage is especially bad news for EA, who have launched Immortals of Aveum today. Steam’s login issues will likely impact the PC launch of Immortals of Aveum on PC, though it is worth noting that this game is available though both Steam and the EA App.Â
