The Elder Scrolls VI is now in development - Bethesda confirms

Now that Starfield is finished, The Elder Scrolls VI has entered development

Bethesda Game Studios is set to release their newest RPG, Starfield within the next week, and now that the game is ready to launch, the company are now shifting their focus to their next game, The Elder Scrolls VI.

In an interview with Vandal, Bethesda’s Pete Hines has confirmed that The Elder Scrolls VI has now exited pre-production and that the game is now in development.

This news comes over five years after Bethesda revealed that The Elder Scrolls VI was in pre-production back in 2018, long before the studio showcased Starfield. As Bethesda’s focus moves away from Starfield, more and more resources will be moved to the development of The Elder Scrolls VI. That said, Bethesda are not planning to abandon Starfield after launch, because we already know that Bethesda has DLC plans for their space adventure.

Sadly, it will be years before The Elder Scrolls VI moves from being a game that is “in development” to being a game that is ready to public consumption. Don’t expect The Elder Scrolls VI to be available anytime soon. The Elder Scrolls VI is in “early development”, and that means that the game is likely years away from release.
