Starfield’s ship builder is surprisingly versatile

Starfield is a game that is filled with content, so much so that players can spend days playing the game without doing much of the game’s primary questline. The game’s shipbuilding tool is one of the side activities that has most intrigued the game’s playerbase, and there is no shortage of gamers who want to recreate their favourite starships within Starfield.

Within Starfield, players are playing homage to ships from Star Trek, Star Wars, Halo, Firefly, and other popular spacefaring franchises. Alongside Starfield’s robust character creator, gamers can really flex their creative muscles in Starfield by creating incredible custom ships.

Above you can see multiple versions of Star Wars’ Millennium Falcon from the Star Wars franchise, and below you can see Mass Effects Normandy SR-2 and a Firefly class ship from the series Firefly. If you head over to the Starfield subreddit, you will see many more examples of sci-fi ship replicas, which includes X-Wings, Y-Wings, miniature Star Destroyers, and the Starship Enterprise.

In our last example, we can see how Starfield player VantaGenesis has created a roughly 1:4 scale recreation of the UNSC Forward Unto Dawn frigate from the Halo franchise. The ship was made to this scale due to the 100m length limit of Ships in Starfield, which prevents players from creation colossal megaships.

Starfield is currently available on PC and Xbox Series consoles through the game’s premium early access, and full availability for the game will start on September 5th. Once the game is available to all purchasers (and Game Pass Subscribers), we can expect to see even more creativity from the Starfield community. Remember, this is what players are doing with the base game. Expect mods to make things even crazier on PC.
